The front of the hat is a small framed field. Every patch is the same size, so it sits inside the stitches.

A note from Worthy Thou Art.

God is worthy. That is the whole idea behind Worthy Thou Art, and it is the one thing I know will still be true tomorrow, whatever tomorrow looks like.

His worth does not rise on a good day or drop on a bad one. We do not earn it and we do not have to hold it together. Because He is worthy, and because we are in Him, we do not have to be afraid of the day in front of us. Even the hard ones.

My husband served in the Air Force and got out in 2008. Not long before he separated, he was in a rollover the doctors said he should not have survived. Years later, a head injury at work left him with constant vertigo, and for a long stretch he could not walk on his own. The years after the service were harder than the years in, and some days still are.

He never had it all figured out. He just kept coming back to one thing. God is worthy. On the day he could not stand up, that was still true. It is still true now.

That is why we're here. Faith and mental health are not opposites, and you should not have to hide a hard day to hold onto God. A good day belongs here too. Whether you're in church every week or haven't been in years, you're welcome here.

The hat is a small way to say where you are today. The patch can change. What is underneath it does not.
